FOCUS: SMALL THINGS MATTER

TEXT: ZECH 4:10 “WHO HAS DESPISED THE DAYS OF SMALL THINGS?”

Jesus could’ve chosen multitude as disciples, but rather, He handpicked twelve people and the power of God that descended on those twelve people has spread all over the world today. When God gave Israel victory over the Midianites, He used a battalion of three hundred soldiers to defeat an army that was hundreds of thousand strong (Judges7) not because there wasn’t more soldiers in the land but God wanted to show forth His Almighty power in the day of small things

In Joh 6:1-14 Jesus fed five thousand men (women and children not inclusive) with two loaves and five fishes from a little boy’s lunchbox. Jesus likens God’s Kingdom to a mustard seed-the smallest seed on earth that grows into a massive tree. He further compares it with yeast that’s barely discernible but raises an entire batch of dough and He said “if you can’t be trusted with little, you can’t be trust with much” (Lk16:10)

Some years back, Bishop David Oyedepo pastored the world’s largest grass cathedral with great excitement at the early days of Living Faith church, today he pastors the world’s largest auditorium of fifty thousand capacity. David started in the wilderness but ended in the palace. Joseph went through pit and prison and ended in the palace, you can start local and go global and that’s been one of God’s testing methodologies which most persons have failed to realize. The Lord will increase and multiply your small beginnings greatly and take you to heights you never imagined in Jesus name.

Take this last: God must prove before He approves anyone, you won’t fail in Jesus name.

Thanks for reading, have a most rewarding day, In Jesus matchless name
